Farglass has no account and no server that holds your data. Your Mac’s readings go to your own iCloud, and your iPhone reads them from there. This page lists everything that leaves your devices.

What stays in your iCloud

The Farglass Mac app writes a summary of what it sees to the private database of your own iCloud account: your Macs’ names, CPU, memory, swap, disk and heat, the agents, dev servers, CI runners and exports it recognises, and the project folders and ports they belong to. Your iPhone, signed in to the same iCloud account, reads that summary. Actions you take on the phone (keep awake, sleep, stop a listed server) travel back the same way.

That database belongs to your Apple account. We, the developer, cannot read it. Apple stores it under its own privacy policy.

The summary holds the names Farglass works out, never the command lines it read them from. Farglass does not read what is in your files, what you type, or your screen.

Our one server: the widget relay

On iOS 26, a home-screen widget only refreshes promptly when it gets a push from Apple, and sending that push needs a key that can’t live in an app. So there is a small relay, which runs on Cloudflare Workers. When something on your Mac changes, your Mac asks the relay to tell Apple “content changed” for your phone’s widget. The push carries no reading; the widget then fetches the new data from your iCloud itself.

The relay stores exactly this, and nothing else:

• your phone’s widget push token, which Apple issues to the widget and which identifies only that install, not you;
• a SHA-256 hash of a random key your Macs share (the key itself stays in your iCloud), so that no other account can push to your widget.

That pair expires on its own after 60 days without a push. The relay keeps no request logs of its own. Cloudflare, which runs it, handles the connection (including your Mac’s IP address) to deliver it, under its privacy policy.

Updates

The Mac app checks for new versions by downloading a small file from downloads.farglass.app. Beyond the app’s version, which every download request carries, it sends nothing about your Mac.

Explain

The “?” explanations on iPhone run on Apple Intelligence on the device. Nothing is sent to a third-party AI service.

What we don’t do

• No analytics, advertising or tracking, in the apps or on this website.
• No cookies on this website.
• No selling or sharing of data. There is none to sell.

If you write to us

If you email us, for the beta or for support, we keep your email address and the message to answer you, and delete them when you ask.

Removing everything

Delete the apps and nothing more is written. What is already in your iCloud can be removed from your iCloud storage settings. The relay’s entry for your phone lapses by itself within 60 days. Questions: support@farglass.app.
